This country was made famous in Bollywood,
thanks to a really cool movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara .
What really makes Spain a hot pick for this
year are the exciting Spain holiday packages on offer with The Holiday Adviser.
While it might not be a famous Tomatina Festival just yet, that’s held at the
end of August every year, there is so much sun, sand and sightseeing in Spain
you really won’t want to come back from a holiday to the land of passion.
Spain is one place in Europe where you do not
need to be ‘loaded’ to travel to. In fact, here you will be spoilt for choice
when it comes to picking from the many different tourist attractions that dot
the country. Say if you are here for 10 days to two weeks, consider spending at
least two days in Barcelona, 3 in Madrid, a day in Seville and at least a
couple of days in Ibiza, that is if you are making it your main beach stop over
for your holiday.
Then again, if you are booked on Spain
honeymoon packages you will surely want to spend more time on the beach in
Ibiza and may need to strike off one or more of the other tourist destinations.
Madrid
Somewhere in the middle of the Spanish
holiday, it feels very much like India yet very different. In Madrid the ancient
coexists with the modern and the food is really quite like ours - hot and
spicy. The people are warm and it’s bustling and crowded with lots of traffic.
The kind of city that surprisingly like India is a little chaotic too. The only
difference being the fact that Madrid never sleeps and is open up until 4 am on
weekdays and dawn over the weekend.
From
a sightseeing point of view, the city is home to the largest museum in the
world, Museo del Prado, on display are breathtaking array of works by the
renowned painter Velázquez. A walk on the
Puerta del Sol or the Times Square of Madrid is also a must do.
Then there is the Palacio Real, or Royal
Palace, Madrid's largest building and possibly its most beautiful. It is
located next to the equally beautiful Plaza de Oriente square.
If you are spending an evening in Madrid, a
must is one of the many rooftop bars that dot the city also called the called
the ‘terraces’ near sunset as you
invariably head to Azotea del Círculo de Bellas Artes. This terrace gives 360
degree view of the city and out to the mountains beyond.
Head to Plaza de Santa Ana for delicious
dinner options, spend the evening bar hopping and sampling local Spanish food
with hot and cold tapas.
A
trip to Madrid is incomplete without watching a flamenco dance. One of the best
places to catch that is at the Corral de la Moreria ‘Tablao’ flamenco
restaurant. Widely recognized as being the premier flamenco restaurant in the
city, the Corral attracts quality artists and offers some marvelous Spanish
food as well.
Sevilla
If
you are on a Spain Honeymoon package your go-to destination is certainly Sevilla.
One of the most romantic cities in Spain dotted with its historical buildings
and churches. A not too big city, it is the perfect place for those romantic
walks along the picturesque El Arenal on the east bank of the Guadalquivir
river. And if you are up to cross the river to the old Jewish Quarter, Santa
Cruz. Al, walk down cobbled stoned paths of the quaint old part of the city,
with its white washed houses and narrow lanes. Stop by wherever you want, the
Tapas food in these parts is to die for.
Barcelona
There are some must visit places for every
city, in Barcelona, it is the History Museum which is one of the best in the
world. There are over 4,000 square meters of Roman ruins located beneath the
museum. Follow this up with a visit to the Picasso Museum with over 3,000
pieces of art, this museum has a lot to see. The Gothic Cathedral with its
rooftop view of the city gives you a feel of the history of the region. If it's
food that excites you the famous central food market in the Barri Gotic, is one of the best places to grab a meal in
the city.
Ibiza
This island paradise makes my list of “Top
Three Beaches in the World” with its tropical waters, dramatic coastlines and
powdery sand. If you have not done it already, put Ibiza on the bucket list of
your Spain Holiday package. And while
you are here you must visit the legendary Café del Mar. This may be the most
expensive part of your holiday in Spain but it certainly worth it, just to
watch the sun go down, a view that makes yours Spain honeymoon package worth
ever dollar paid.
And it does not end here if you thought
Madrid was the party capital of the world, Ibiza gives it a run for every EDM
track played. The party here goes on till the sun rises from the sea once again
with a new day.
Spain, is a destination you will fall in love
with, there is a little bit of everything fun, frolic, food and history. So
book with The Holiday Adviser, Spain Holiday Packages or if it’s a honeymoon, you are going on, book your Spain Honeymoon Packages from India quickly buys your swimwear and join for the party with TheHoliday Adviser.
